Cardno appoints Asia-Pacific CEO

Global engineering services firm Cardno has announced the appointment of Jamie Alonso as Chief Executive Officer of the company’s Asia-Pacific Region, effective immediately.

Mr. Alonso will lead the Asia-Pacific business, which has 1500 staff across 35 offices in key centres including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Wellington, and services clients in core sectors such as transport, energy, utilities, water and land management.

Mr. Alonso has close to 30 years’ experience providing civil engineering services across various disciplines for the private and public sector. He has also held a number of senior management roles across an 18-year tenure with Cardno, including operational management, P&L management as well as strategic and business development positions.

Cardno CEO and Managing Director Ian Ball welcomed the appointment.

“Jamie’s broad experience inside and outside of Cardno will prove invaluable in delivering maximum value for our clients and capitalising on the strong markets we are operating within,” Mr. Ball said.

“I look forward to working closely with Jamie and his leadership team across Asia-Pacific to grow the business,” he said.
