Civil construction company Hazel Bros has completed upgrades to the Pialba-Burrum Heads Road, Scrub Hill Road and Wide Bay Drive intersection in Queensland, which are improving safety for road users and pedestrians.
Hazell Bros said in a statement that its Queensland team was able to reduce the project’s duration from 15 to 10 months as a result of hard work and careful planning.
The project was located in front of two large schools, which was Hazell Bros’ biggest challenge as it had to install a temporary fence along all footpaths and crossings to prevent pedestrians from entering the construction zone as well as oncoming traffic.
This is reportedly the largest project completed by Hazell Bros within the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads – Wide Bay region, valued at approximately $15 million.
