The construction firm has appointed former Deputy Director General, Transport Projects for TfNSW Chris Lock to its board as Non-Executive Director.

The construction firm has appointed former Deputy Director General, Transport Projects for TfNSW Chris Lock to its board as Non-Executive Director.McConnell Dowell Corporation has appointed former Deputy Director General, Transport Projects for TfNSW Chris Lock to its board as Non-Executive Director.

According to a statement from the company, Mr. Lock has extensive experience within the Australian engineering and construction sector, having served in the Deputy Director General role, and as CEO of the Transport Construction Authority and its predecessor, the Transport Infrastructure Development Corporation.

Prior to his public sector career, Chris also held key leadership roles in the private sector, including as Director and Principal of management consultancy firm Evans & Peck, as Director – Project Development and Director – Land Transport for Baulderstone Hornibrook and as General Manager Engineering Construction for Mowlem Group.

“Chris’ high standards of governance, integrity and leadership will bring significant capability to the McConnell Dowell Corporation Board as the Company moves into the next phases of its strategic plan and positions for growth in strengthening infrastructure markets across Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the Middle East,” said McConnell Dowell Corporation Chairman Kobus Verster in the statement.
