Queensland Transport Infrastructure Conference 2019

With Queensland’s population expected to hit six million in 2027, the Queensland Government is accelerating its commitment to accommodate for an increased need of transport services.

The Queensland Transport Roads and Investment Program (QTRIP) 2018-19 to 2021-22 outlines $21.7 billion in transport and road infrastructure over the next four years. The program estimated to support an average of 19,200 direct jobs throughout the duration.

Against this backdrop, the Queensland Transport Infrastructure Conference will profile a vast range of transport and infrastructure works critical for a growing state.

The conference, run by Expotrade, will take place over two days on June 18 and 19 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Through a mix of keynote presentations and panel discussions, the conference will feature the latest updates on the State’s transport projects as well as provide a platform for examining the intersection of disruptive technology and infrastructure.

Keynote speakers include Matthew Longland and Lucinda Hoffman from the Department of Transport and Main Roads, Stephen Hammer from the Brisbane Metro, Carl Bruhn from Gold Coast Airport, and many more.

Attendees will hear updates from the Cross River Rail Project, Queensland’s Electric Vehicle Strategy, the Pacific Motorway Upgrade and the Townsville Channel Upgrade Project, to name a few.

The 10th annual Transport Infrastructure Conference in Queensland is expected to attract more than 200 delegates.

It will also include two panel discussions featuring industry players from across Queensland.

The first panel will discuss the sustainable transport conundrum and the second will look at tackling congestion for a growing state.

In total, there more than be over 20 expert speakers at the conference. It will enable delegates to share knowledge and network with government, private organisations and industry experts.
