RDO Equipment expanding construction range with new dozer

The all new John Deere 850L Dozer will be serviced and supported by a highly trained team of RDO Equipment service technicians.

RDO Equipment has announced this week that the new John Deere 850L Dozer to will join its growing construction machinery range in early 2020.

RDO took over as the new John Deere Construction and Forestry dealer for all states apart from Western Australia in May, and as part of the launch in Australia, promised customers to expect a full range of equipment, serviced and supported by a strategic dealer network which includes a highly trained team of service technicians.

Mark Kuhn, RDO Equipment’s General Manager of Sales, said the new dozer will be among the first of a range of new construction equipment available and customers can expect these to arrive over the coming six to 12 months.

“The 850L Dozer boasts the productivity, reliability, and durability customers expect in a production dozer. This model was specifically designed using customer feedback, and with that, we welcome the next generation of Deere dozers that are our strongest, most durable and productive dozers yet,” he said.

“The new dozer is best in class. It boasts a 20 per cent saving in fuel consumption, improved electrical and hydraulic routing and a heavy-duty mainframe with increased thickness of up to 60 per cent in some areas of the machine to meet the demands of any jobsite.”

Mr. Kuhn said the new machine will be backed by RDO service experts and field technicians.

“Our customers are in good hands with a team of experts, as well as dedicated customer support and well-equipped service centres.”

“I know our Australian customers are excited to have these on our shores, and our service and parts teams are also excited and ready to welcome them and assist with any queries,” Mr. Kuhn said.

He said the new 850L dozer comes with a 10 per cent increase in engine power and an 8 per cent increase in operating weight, which allows the dozer to move 30 per cent more material than the leading competitor in a grading operation.

“Inside the cab, there is also 15 per cent more space and interior operator noise is reduced by 27 per cent when compared to the John Deere K-Series model,” Mr. Kuhn said.

A new heated and ventilated seat option further increases operator comfort, and other new options on the 850L include a rear camera, automatic temperature control, a new angled seat and new air-conditioning system that ensures the operator remains comfortable and productive all day.

“We’re looking forward to seeing the response to the new dozer from customers and industry as it hits Australian shores, and our parts and service team are excited to support customers over the coming months on future John Deere products that RDO bring to Australia,” Mr. Kuhn said.
