A construction company has been awarded a $71 million seal and asphalt works package for the Bruce Highway Upgrade – Caloundra Road to Sunshine Motorway, Queensland.
The Federal Government is urging state and territory governments to apply for the funding under the extended capital component of the National Water Infrastructure Fund.
Farmers and landowners will be able to sell construction materials such as rock, gravel and soil from borrow pits and quarries to supply the Inland Rail project.
The New South Wales Government will commit the extra funds, in addition to the $70 million already allocated, for the duplication project from Williamtown to Bobs Farm in Port Stephens.
Work is set to commence on the project, which involves rebuilding sections of Warrabungle Street for the new bridge across the railway line at Gunnedah, NSW.
