A level crossing at Toorak Road in the inner-Melbourne suburb of Kooyong will be removed using a rail bridge design solution, the Victorian Government’s Level Crossing Removal Authority has said.
Work to remove the level crossing at Reservoir in Victoria has commenced this week, which includes use of an innovative rail bridge design.
The final design and construct contract has been awarded to remove the level crossing in Laverton later this year, which also includes construction of a new road bridge.
Victoria’s Caulfield to Dandenong level crossing removal project has been named a finalist in the 2018 Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards Built Environment category.
SMEC will provide construction administration services on the $514.3 million Haughton River Floodplain Upgrade in North Queensland.
