Aurecon appoints Managing Director in Asia

Stephane Asselin has joined Aurecon as  it launches a major initiative to drive growth in Asia.

Mr. Asselin will be Managing Director based in Hong Kong and will oversee all commercial operations with a focus on driving new business and will continue to accelerate digital engineering and advisory offerings to clients.

Asia is a key focus region for Aurecon as it targets rapid expansion to capitalise on the network of offices and clients it has developed in Asia over the past decade.

According to the International Monetary Fund, the region is projected to grow 5.4% in 2019 and is at the forefront of digitalisation.

Mr. Asselin has spent over half of his 25 year career living and working in Asia. He is an experienced commercial leader and has a proven track record in delivering business outcomes and developing a strong talent based focus on executing strategy.

I believe Aurecon is well-placed to take a leading role in accelerating Asia’s development, with the best mix of people, technology and eminence to drive real progress.” Mr. Asselin said.

Aurecon is optimistic about the the Asia market. They have continued to play a key role, partnering with visionary developers and national governments in Asia to bring their boldest and bravest ideas to life.

Its iconic projects include the West Kowloon Station in Hong Kong, Vincom Landmark 81 Tower in Vietnam, the Shanghai Tower in China, and the Mauritius’ Metro Express as part of a Singapore-Mauritius government collaboration.

Aurecon has also supported infrastructure development in the region, particularly with road and rail systems, and renewable energy, combining the latest technologies with human-centred design to deliver future-ready developments.
