The Australian Financial Review (AFR) has ranked engineering and infrastructure advisory firm Aurecon in the top 10 in its Most Innovative Companies list for 2017.
According to a statement from Aurecon, which was ranked number 5 overall in the list, it is the first time a professional services firm has been placed in the top five on the annual list.
To secure a spot in the list, companies are assessed on two innovations that they have implemented in the previous year, as well as explain how they are embedding innovation in their business.
“To debut on the AFR list in the top five is a testament to how our people and our clients have embraced our strategy and passion for innovation,” said Global Chief Executive Officer Giam Swiegers in the statement.
“We must not forget that it is people who innovate, not companies. Without an innovation culture pulsing through the veins of our engineers and advisors, we have less chance of building a truly innovative firm which can contribute to our client’s future,” he said.
