Locals are being encouraged to register for community drop-in session on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road project on Saturday May 22.

The design and construction teams will be present to answer questions about the project at the session held at the Bunbury Outer Ring Road Community Hub.

The 27-kilometre highway, being delivered jointly by the South West Gateway Alliance and Main Roads Western Australia, will link the Forrest highway to the Bussell Highway.

Construction has already begun on the Bunbury Outer Ring Road and when completed, it will reduce local congestion and create long-term access to the Bunbury Port.

Local traffic and freight vehicles will gain greater access to local motorways as a result of the reduced congestion.

Reducing freight and regional traffic will also increase the safety of the Bunbury Outer Ring Road.

The Bunbury Outer Ring Road Highway will be delivered in three sections. The Northern section connecting the Boyanup Picton road, the central section connecting the South Western Highway and the Southern Section connecting the Bussell Highway.
