“A key driver for this project is to facilitate Project Sea Dragon, a $1.45 billion prawn aquaculture project that will generate significant economic and employment opportunities for the community.”

A planning study with community consultation was completed in February 2018 for this stage of the works, and further consultations are underway for future planned stages.

Work on the upgrade, which will support 380 construction jobs over 12 months, begins this month.
