New board members at Infrastructure Australia

Automated vehicle technology will be tested in rural Victoria this year in the first on-road trial approved under the new Automated Driving System (ADS) permit scheme.Infrastructure Australia welcome the Australian Government’s appointment of Peter Harris AO and Samantha Hogg to the Board of Infrastructure Australia.

Infrastructure Australia Chair Julieanne Alroe said she looks forward to Mr. Harris and Ms. Hogg sharing their expertise across infrastructure and public policy.

“Together, they bring decades of leadership experience from across the public and private sectors, and will add to the depth and breadth of sectoral knowledge on the Infrastructure Australia Board, as we continue to deliver on our mandate to drive better infrastructure outcomes for all Australians,” Ms. Alroe said.

Mr. Harris served as Chairman of the Australian Productivity Commission between 2012 and 2018 and Secretary of the Commonwealth Department of Broadband, Communications and Digital Economy from 2009 to 2012.

Ms. Hogg was formerly Chief Financial Officer of Transurban and is Chair of Tasmanian Irrigation, Non-Executive Director of Hydro Tasmania, MaxiTRANS Industries Limited and TasRail.
