Under the scope extensions, the business – part of the WestStar group of companies – will supply precast concrete elements for railway stations and service buildings along the rail line.

The work will include supply of precast stairs and precast walls for the stations and emergency egress shafts.

“Our continued involvement in this major Western Australian infrastructure project is encouraging for the precast business,” WestStar CEO Robert Spadanuda said in a statement.

“The Forrestfield Airport Rail Link is a substantial project and we are confident that strong delivery will translate into further work”

The Forrestfield-Airport Link consists of a train line connecting Forrestfield to the city, opening up Perth’s eastern suburbs to rail.

The project will connect with the existing Midland line near Bayswater Station running to Forrestfield through twin-bored tunnels.
