Faster and more frequent services are set to be made possible on the Bendigo and Echuca Rail line as it receives a $300 million funding boost from the state and federal governments.
As one of the largest transport infrastructure projects in Northern Victoria, the $323.7 million Echuca Moama Bridge Project will provide a second link between rural NSW and Victoria, reducing congestion and improving reliability of emergency services.
The Murray Valley Highway intersection of Ogilvie Avenue, Sturt Street and Old Aerodrome Road in Echuca will receive a $5 million dollar upgrade.
Major works on Stage two of the Echuca-Moama Bridge Project were completed in November 2019 and preparations are now underway for stages three and four.
Expressions of Interest are open to design and build the bulk of the Gippsland Line Upgrade, Shepparton Line Upgrade, and Bendigo Line Upgrade.
