Works to dig Australia’s longest and deepest road tunnels, as part of the $3 billion NorthConnex project in Sydney, is now complete.
The bid by urban developer Transurban to take a majority interest in the WestConnex project will not be prohibited by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has commenced consultation on a proposed undertaking offered by Transurban, the lead member of the Sydney Transport Partners consortium proposing to acquire the majority interest in the WestConnex motorway.
Around 300 businesses based in western Sydney have been engaged to supply materials, goods and services to the $3 billion NorthConnex project.
The NSW State Budget has invested more than $87 billion on an infrastructure pipeline over the next four years.
