The Federal and Western Australian Governments have committed $10 million for two packages of road safety works in WA.
The junction between the Golden and Castlereagh highways in NSW has now been upgraded and is open to motorists.
The intersection project at Failford Road on the Pacific Highway will receive and additional $1.5 million for a safety boost.
The Kamilaroi Highway south-east of Narrabri will receive a significant safety boost with a $22 million upgrade package underway.
Some of the busiest roads in Mascot, Alexandria and Zetland, NSW will see improved safety with a reduction in speed limits this month.
Three additional projects to upgrade Queensland’s Warrgeo Highway, totalling $80.19 million, are set to be funded under the Australian and Queensland Governments’ $645 million jointly funded program.
