Planning is underway for the motorway standard upgrade of the Warrego Highway from Dinmore to Helidon Spa in Queensland.
The Queensland Government has awarded tenders for the $63.6 million Dalby-Miles Pavement Widening and Safety Upgrades project and the $11.7 million Oakey-Miles Safety Upgrades Package 2 on the major highway.
More than $16 million will be invested into floodproofing the Toowoomba CBD through culvert upgrades to the Warrego Highway at East and West Creeks.
Three additional projects to upgrade Queensland’s Warrgeo Highway, totalling $80.19 million, are set to be funded under the Australian and Queensland Governments’ $645 million jointly funded program.
The $635 million Warrego Highway upgrade is progressing, with the contract awarded to deliver the second phase of the $40 million safety works between Oakey and Miles in Queensland.
