The $55 million project will include new traffic signals and an upgrade of the Main North Road intersection with Potts and Para roads, as well as an upgrade to Potts Road, and a bridge over the South Para River.

The Gawler East Link Road will also provide an alternate route for existing residents in Gawler East to access Main North Road, helping to reduce vehicle traffic through the Gawler town centre.

Major construction is expected to commence early 2018 and be completed in 2019, weather permitting.
