The Australian Government is taking action to build a better roads infrastructure on Norfolk Island, having engaged WorleyParsons Services Limited to develop a strategy.
The strategy will address the current condition of the roads on Norfolk Island and assess them against relevant design, building and engineering standards. Priority will be placed on road infrastructure upgrades and maintenance, and the plan will compliment investments to upgrade the Cascade Jetty.
Representatives from the company travelled to Norfolk Island at the beginning of May to undertake initial research. The final draft of the strategy is expected by the end of June 2015.
